What is Feather?
Feather is a personal productivity application that brings together your Gmail inbox, Google Calendar, Google Drive, and Google Contacts into one unified workspace. Instead of switching between tabs and apps, Feather surfaces what matters — before you have to search for it.
By securely connecting to your Google account, Feather reads and organizes your data so you can focus on what's important. All processing happens on our servers and your data is never shared with third parties or used to train AI models.
How Feather uses your Google data
Gmail
Feather reads and syncs your Gmail messages to intelligently categorize conversations, extract important details like flights, hotel bookings, receipts, and shared files, and keep your inbox organized. Feather can also modify labels (read/unread, archive) to help you manage your email. This requires access to your Gmail messages and the ability to modify them.
Google Calendar
Feather syncs your Google Calendar events so your schedule is always in view. It can check your availability, and create, update, or delete events on your behalf through the built-in AI assistant. This requires access to read your calendars and manage your events.
Google Drive, Docs, Sheets & Slides
Feather indexes your Google Drive files — including Docs, Sheets, and Slides — for instant search and retrieval across your entire workspace. It downloads file content for text extraction, generates thumbnails, and creates search embeddings so you can find anything instantly. This requires full access to your Google Drive and Workspace files.
Google Contacts
Feather uses your Google Contacts to enrich people profiles with names, photos, and contact details. This helps you see who you're communicating with at a glance. This requires access to read your contacts.
Data security & privacy
Your data is processed securely on our servers using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We never share your data with third parties, sell it, or use it to train AI models. You can revoke Feather's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account permissions.
